LEGAL DEPARTMENT
The Legal Department of Agencia Centroamericana de Seguridad Aeronáutica (Central American Agency for Aviation Safety) has been assigned the following tasks:

Preparation of legal analyses of the MRACs under development and the corresponding notices of proposed amendment, according to the provisions of the Central American Regulations on the System for the Harmonized Development and Implementation of Joint Civil Aviation Rules (RAC System). During this analysis, changes are made, if necessary, to provide the legal content to a technical regulation to make it sound from the legal point of view.

Interpretation of Conventions on International Civil Aviation, laws and rules.

Application of the Central American Community Law Principles; being COCESNA an international integration entity.

Assistance to the Regional Aviation Safety Group/ Pan-American in the preparation of a bill to safeguard safety information sources.

Review and/or preparation of Contracts, Memoranda of Understanding, Technical Cooperation Agreements among ACSA and other international organizations or Central American civil aviation authorities.

Update of the International Mission status of foreign employees. In addition, assistance in internal labor-related matters is provided.

Preparation of certifications, powers of attorney required by the Agency.
In summary, the Legal Department is in charge not only of the legal validity of the technical regulations, but also of general legal assistance in which ACSA is involved. |
